From RevGalBlogPals:

Prayer is a joy to some of us, and a chore to others, waiting likewise can be filled with anticipation or anxiety….

So how do you wait and pray?

1. How do you pray best, alone or with others?  both, but more alone as in past 5 years have been practicing contemplative prayer for 20 minutes each day and even though that is done in silence, when done with others is very meaningful

2. Do you enjoy the discipline of waiting, is it a time of anticipation or anxiety?  don’t like waiting, but it is a fact of this life–so since I’m pretty layed back wait with anticipation.

3. Is there a time when you have waited upon God for a specific promise?  As of March 21, my son, DIL and I have been waiting for the birth of a healthy grand daughter, there were countless prayers for this healthy birth not just by us but lots others.  Praise God it was answered with a very robust baby girl.

4. Do you prefer stillness or action?  depends on what the situation is–most of the time I prefer to be doing something, not twiddling my thumbs.

5. If ( and this is slightly tongue in cheek) you were promised one gift spiritual or otherwise what would you choose to recieve?  peace and joy

From RevGalBlogPals:

What are five things you would want to do with a million dollar deposit in your bank account?

  1. Pay off all debt.
  2. Set trust funds for grand children
  3. Fund a scholarship for women of DV to be able to support themselves
  4. Travel fund for me
  5. What’s left goes into pod housing for those of us getting older and still wanting to live independently
