Love God, Do Good, Do No Harm

I was listening to the live stream from the UMC general conference yesterday and the above title is what the different chairpersons were calling UMC’s to.  It is the Wesley tradition.  I think this will work better than the Open hearts, open minds, open doors campaign.  At church who tries, we did not post the sign–there was no problem with open hearts and doors, but there was considerable debate about open mind.  Did that mean we were to accept everything, even those things that were untrue and not faithful?

Just think if we truly lived “Do no Harm”  there would be no wars, no school shootings, in fact no gun shooting at others.  We could then work on being united heart to heart in prayer, creating a world of radiant life, overflowing abundance and lasting peace as we awaken to the power of Love within (paraphrase from the 13th Unity World Day of Prayer).

We would be even more BLESSED.

We are blessed. However it is difficult to appreciate quite how at the moment!
